The Grand Avenue is a unique feature of The London Classic Car Show and this year it’s back and better than ever. The highway runs through the centre of the exhibition and is your chance to see some of the world’s finest classic cars actually fired up and driven.
In 2016, the show ran a ‘Six Nations’ competition, with 60 classic cars representing the biggest and best car-making nations on the planet and Great Britain being crowned the eventual winners.
This year is based around the theme of ‘The Perfect 10’ where you’ll have the chance to see the best of examples of classic cars in 10 different body types with everything from convertibles to single seater and sports cars on show.
The show is also taking it one step further this year with the addition of incredible paddock, which will allow you to get up close and personal with the classics and even give you the chance to speak to the drivers and owners of the cars.
Have a look at some of the top cars that’ll be in the paddock.
There’s more news on the guests at the show this year too, with the announcement of three more celebrated legends from the epic 24 Hours of Le Mans who top a star-studded line-up of speakers appearing at the parallel show, the first ever Historic Motorsport International.
Adding to the legendary Jacky Ickx, there is now the addition of Derek Bell, Emanuele Pirro, and Jürgen Barth who between the four of them have won the coveted French endurance classic no fewer than 17 times.
Ickx and Derek Bell shared the top step of the 24 Hours podium three times together whereas, Emanuele Pirro claimed five victories for Audi, and Jürgen Barth won in 1977 sharing a Porsche with Ickx.
They will be among those sharing their memories, experiences, know-how and wisdom with visitors to the inaugural Historic Motorsport International, London’s new exhibition devoted to all aspects of historic racing and rallying.
